Duluth Cottage Kitchen is a one-woman attempt, a small farm and Cottage Kitchen operation in the heart of Duluth, growing a wide array of vegetables. My goal is to coax an abundance of high quality produce out of a small area by concentrating on soil fertility and utilizing close spacing. I farm following organic principles, but have chosen to forgo paperwork, inspections, and fees in favor of a close connection with my customers. Hence my vegetables are un-certified organic. If you ever have questions about my gardening practices, just ask!
While gardening small scale I try to preserve green space, protect our natural resources, support our local education, and promote to a more self-sufficient community life.
Now with all the changes going on with Corona, educating the community about the benefits of sustainable agriculture practices to our lives and our land is important to me.
Why Support Locally Grown?
In these new and uncertain times of Corona … know your food chain
Unlike other co-ops, buying clubs, or CSAs where everyone gets the same box of stuff (and you don’t know what you’re getting until you get it), with Duluth Cottage Kitchen you have the option to get a farmer’s choice veggie bags, big and small, or you can order “a la carte”.
Of course you can order thru this market at any time. Please use the comment box on the order page to let me know your preferred day and time to pick up, I will text you a confirmation, as soon as I get your order.
If you have a real veggie emergency, text me, if I am home, you can pick up on short notice, please keep in mind, picked in the cooler morning hours your veggies will be plump and juicy and keep longer then picked in the afternoon sun, when they are suffering from heat stress.
As long as Suwanee Farmers Market is open (mid of September) there will be no pickup on Saturdays
As soon as Gwinnett court is in session no pickup on Wednesdays as I suffer the honor to serve grand jury
